Gideon Shoham, Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Gideon Shoham brings extensive management experience gained through a series of executive positions he has held during his 30 year career. Gideon was CIO/CFO at Koor Industries and Phils Industries for 15 years. Prior to founding Hitachi ID Systems, Gideon provided consulting services to BP Canada. Gideon holds a Masters degree in Business Administration.
Idan Shoham, Chief Technology Officer and Founder
In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Idan Shoham is responsible for defining product and technology strategy and the overall development of Hitachi ID Systems solutions. Idan works closely with his talented team to ensure that the solutions that Hitachi ID Systems delivers to the market are of the highest quality. Prior to founding Hitachi ID Systems in 1992, Idan provided network security consulting services to large organizations such as Shell, Amoco, BP Canada and Talisman Energy. Idan holds a Masters degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Dawn Mallyon, Vice President, Marketing
In her role as Vice President of Marketing, Dawn Mallyon is responsible for all marketing initiatives at Hitachi ID Systems, Inc. Leveraging more than 15 years experience in marketing for technology companies, Dawn brings her strategic planning, tactical and management expertise to Hitachi. Dawn has previously held marketing management roles at SMART Technologies and Whitehill Technologies (now Elite, a Thomson Reuters company). She holds a Bachelor degree in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University.
James Hare, Senior Vice President and General Sales Manager
Over 12 years with HIDS, James has moved up from Regional Sales Manager in the NY Metro area to VP of Sales managing major East Coast accounts and recently - the Montreal sales team as well. James has closed many major accounts including DTCC, Intel, Avon, JetBlue, Estee Lauder, General Dynamics, U.Buffalo (w/HDS), J.Crew, Moody's, Ralph Lauren, Eli Lilly, Zimmer Biomet and many others.
James has recently led the relationship with major MSP partners including HP, resulting in renewed growth from these partners.
Prior to Hitachi ID Systems (then M-Tech) James held senior sales and channel management positions at Critical Path (IdM), Sybase, Information Builders (Middleware), and Oracle. James has an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Larry Kearl, CA, Vice President, Finance
Larry Kearl is a Chartered Accountant who brings to Hitachi ID Systems over 15 years of experience in financial management with emphasis on accounting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, financial reporting and taxation. His experience stems from progressively responsible roles with KPMG, Manalta Coal, Gimbel Vision International, Advanced Measurements and most recently, Enquest Energy Services Corp.
Leonardo Munduruca, Vice President, Professional Services
Leonardo Munduruca is responsible for managing the solutions architect and support teams in Montreal, Calgary, and Europe. Since joining Hitachi ID Systems in June 2008, Leonardo has taken on increasingly large roles in the Services department. Leonardo holds a B.Sc. Hons degree in Computer Science from University of Manitoba.
Pierre Provençal, Vice President, Software Development
Pierre Provençal is responsible for managing the software development teams in Montreal and Calgary. He also manages the product releases and roadmap. Pierre has been working in software development for over 20 years bringing his experience to Hitachi ID Systems in 2006. He has worked for Ericsson and Marconi; companies with global presence. Pierre holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Economics from Concordia University and is working on a B.A. in Psychology.
Scott Whiffin, Vice President, Delivery Technology
As VP, Solution Delivery, Scott consults the service delivery and software development groups on how to evolve Hitachi ID Systems' products to reflect customer and industry requirements. He also oversees the development of service delivery tooling, partners training and POCs for major accounts. Scott has an Information Technology diploma from SAIT Polytechnic and over 20 years of IT industry experience, mostly with Hitachi ID Systems.
Susan Jickling, Vice President, Channel Sales
Susan offers extensive experience in developing a global channel network, she spent 20 years at SMART Technologies helping grow the company from a small startup to a large, global channel-based enterprise.
Trevor Nicholson, Senior Vice President, Direct Sales
In his role as Vice President Technology Solution Sales, Trevor Nicholson is responsible for managing Hitachi ID Systems inside sales staff. Additionally, Trevor focuses on increasing sales volumes, managing existing customer and prospect relationships and facilitating the overall sales strategy. Trevor holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. He has been with Hitachi ID Systems since 2000.
