Gideon Shoham, President, Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Shoham brings extensive management experience gained through a series of executive positions he has held during his 30 year career. Shoham was CIO/CFO at Koor Industries and Phils Industries for 15 years. Prior to founding Hitachi ID, Shoham provided consulting services to organizations such as BP Canada and First International Bank of Israel. Shoham holds a Masters degree in Business Administration.
Idan Shoham, Chief Technology Officer and Founder
In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Shoham is responsible for defining product and technology strategy and the overall development of Hitachi ID's solutions. Shoham works closely with his talented team to ensure that the solutions that Hitachi ID delivers to the market are of the highest quality. Prior to founding Hitachi ID in 1992, Shoham provided network security consulting services to large organizations such as Shell, Amoco, BP Canada and Talisman Energy. Shoham holds a Masters degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Eli Aviv, Chief Financial Officer
Aviv is responsible for managing Hitachi ID's finance, HR and administration departments. Prior to joining Hitachi ID, Aviv held a senior finance position for over 10 years at Rabin Health Center, a major medical facility, where he was responsible for the business management and administration, budgeting, accounting and auditing. Aviv holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance.
Masato Saito, Chief Strategy Officer
Saito is responsible as Chief Strategy Officer for overall business strategy/development of the company. He has extensive experience in strategic product planning and development of various software for enterprise computing and also for the global business planning, the strategic alliances and the global sales operations of various information systems, including data storages, servers, ATMs, and telecom equipments in Hitachi Ltd. Saito holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Waseda University in Japan and a master's degree in computer and information science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Alan Donenfeld, Vice President, Corporate Sales
Donenfeld brings over 15 years of technology sales and management experience to his role at Hitachi ID. Donenfeld has been instrumental in guiding the sales strategies that have assisted in Hitachi ID's success acquiring Fortune 500 and global accounts. Donenfeld has held various sales and management positions at technology companies such as Burnt Sand, Choreo, Software Kinetics and Multiprocessor Toolsmiths. Donenfeld holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Systems Engineering.
Richard Darrell, Vice President, Business Development, MSP and Channel Sales
Darrell has over 20 years of senior sales management experience working for Fortune 500 and large enterprise organizations. Darrell is key to assisting the sales team in delivering solutions to organizations that bring cost benefits to the bottom line. Darrell began his impressive career at IBM and carried on to work at organizations such as Xerox, American Technology Acquisition Corporation (ATAC) and Peregrine Systems prior to joining Hitachi ID. Darrell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Communications.
Trevor Nicholson, Vice President, Technology Solution Sales
In his role as VP Technology Solution Sales, Nicholson is responsible for managing Hitachi ID's inside sales staff. Additionally, Nicholson focuses on increasing sales volumes, managing existing customer and prospect relationships and facilitating the overall sales strategy. Nicholson holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. He has been with Hitachi ID since 2000.
Paul Schermerhorn, Vice President, Engineering
In his role as Vice President of Engineering, Schermerhorn is responsible for driving Hitachi ID's software engineering department. Schermerhorn has been with Hitachi ID since 2001 and brings over 8 years of software engineering experience. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering.
Jason Maharaj, Vice President, Quality Assurance
Since joining Hitachi ID in Mar 2006, Maharaj has been responsible for managing the Software Testing efforts at Hitachi ID. His responsibilities include driving and implementing industry standard practices and implementing process improvements as they relate to product testing and automation. He has over 8 years of professional software testing and release management experience in progressively responsible roles at Microsoft and Expedia.
Dawn Mallyon, Marketing Manager
In her role as Marketing Manager, Dawn is responsible for all marketing initiatives at Hitachi ID Systems Inc. Leveraging more than 15 years experience in marketing for technology companies, Dawn brings her strategic planning, tactical and management expertise to Hitachi. Dawn has previously held marketing management roles at SMART Technologies and Whitehill Technologies (now Skywire Software). In addition, she is very active in her professional association, IABC (International Association of Business Communicators), holding the title of Vice President, Marketing Communications on the IABC Atlantic executive board for several years. She holds a Bachelor degree in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University, and recently passed her certification exam as a CTSM (Certified Trade Show Marketer).
Dave O'Brien, Vice President, Human Resources and Montreal Branch Manager
In his role as VP of Human Resources, O'Brien drives all HR programs and administration initiatives including recruiting, retention, succession planning and performance management. Additionally, as the Montreal Branch Manager, O'Brien is responsible for ensuring efficient and successful operations of the Montreal office. This includes recruiting and retaining top technical talent as well as day-to-day team member and facilities management. Prior to joining Hitachi ID, O'Brien held senior management roles at TELUS and Timespring Software. O'Brien holds a degree in Computer Science Technology from CEGEP Vanier.
