P-Synch turnkey project at the City of TallahasseeFebruary 28, 2000
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
M-Tech, Mercury Information Technology Inc., the industry leader in password management software solutions, today announced that a license for P-Synch Total Password Management system has been purchased and installed at The City of Tallahassee in Florida.
Because of time constraints, The City of Tallahassee requested a turn-key solution. M-Tech systems support engineers installed P-Synch on-site, trained the City's systems administrators, and assisted in rolling out password management services to the large user community. These services saved a significant amount of time and effort and enabled the City to deploy a fully functioning version of P-Synch in less than one week!
P-Synch is designed to simplify multiple password management in complex, heterogeneous environments. P-Synch not only offers users and Help Desk staff the ability to change and reset passwords across all systems, but will also synchronize passwords, so users have just one password to remember -- thereby further reducing the number of calls to the Help Desk.
The City of Tallahassee has chosen to utilize P-Synch's transparent synchronization feature. When a user changes their password on Windows NT, the new password is then automatically changed and synchronized across all platforms.
P-Synch's latest version also enables transparent synchronization from LDAP and Unix servers!
