P-Synch Total Password Management Licensed By ENTEX IT Service
Tool will enable ENTEX to increase customer satisfaction while saving time and resourcesRye Brook, N.Y.

M-Tech Mercury Information Technology, Inc. today announced it has signed a license agreement with ENTEX IT Service, a leading provider of IT consulting and managed services and a unit of Siemens. Under the terms of the agreement, ENTEX will acquire P-Synch licenses on behalf of its customers across North America.
P-Synch will allow ENTEX to reduce its customers' IT costs by minimizing the time required for resolution of help desk password resets, and more importantly, by allowing authenticated users to synchronize and reset their own passwords. While decreasing password problem incidence, P-Synch will allow ENTEX customers to enforce stronger password policies and therefore strengthen security.
ENTEX has already deployed P-Synch to support over 80,000 users at several customers' sites, and additional deployments are expected on a monthly basis. In addition to password management, ENTEX plans to use P-Synch as a user self-authentication tool in conjunction with self service IT applications deployed at other customer locations.
"We are very excited to be working with ENTEX," said Alan Donenfeld, M-Tech Director of Product Sales. "They are keenly focused on reducing their customers' IT operating costs while enhancing security. After an extensive review of all available password management tools, ENTEX has selected P-Synch as the tool that can most effectively maximize the benefits to their large customer base."
"One of the many challenges within a streamlined managed services environment is in the administration and support of end-user password security," said John McKenna, chief executive officer, ENTEX IT Service. "Our partnership with M-Tech will save both time and resources and lead to increased customer satisfaction - which places this partnership directly in line with our strategic goals."
ENTEX has standardized on the P-Synch product to provide a highly scalable solution for total password management. Positive results have already been demonstrated in the areas of cost savings, increased security and wider availability of systems at several premiere engagements.
When fully implemented, ENTEX expects a significant reduction in costs for password management over a three-year period while facilitating end-user resolution of password issues through P-Synch's self-service features.
M-Tech has designed a flexible licensing program for outsourcers to provide P-Synch to their customers, with quick, low cost and low-risk deployments. For more information on the P-Synch contact M-Tech sales at 1.403.233.0740 or visit our Web site at Hitachi-ID.com/password-manager

Today, P-Synch is the leading solution for total password management by organizations worldwide, with over to 2 million end-users.
P-Synch supports strong authentication as well as inexpensive question-and-answer profiles. This makes it suitable for both corporate use and e-Commerce deployment.
P-Synch synchronizes user passwords across all platforms and systems without installing any desktop software; enforces enterprise-wide password strength policies; allows authenticated users to reset their own forgotten passwords; allows support staff to reset passwords on every system, with no special administrative rights; and reduces support costs while improving network security.
M-Tech is currently developing a line of complementary products that will manage login IDs and directories. ID-Synch, a system for simplifying multi-system login management is currently available for beta testing.
