March 12, 2002
Company will synchronize passwords on diverse systems
M-Tech Mercury Information Technology, Inc. today announced that The Economical Insurance Group has purchased an enterprise license for the P-Synch total password management system.
Economical initially required password synchronization for OS390 (RACF), LDAP (Secureway), Oracle - ERP systems, and will add AIX, Novell Netware, WinNT, Lotus Notes, and CGI's GIOS application.
The company will realize significant cost savings and enhanced security through the quick deployment of P-Synch's self-service modules, including password resets, Q&A profile manager, alternate login ID profile manager, and token management.
"We are very pleased to have been selected by Economical Insurance for password management." said Idan Shoham, M-Tech's CTO. "P-Synch's implementation at Economical illustrates the fact that a password management program will not only save time and money by virtually eliminating password-related problems, but will also protect and enhance existing network security."
