Acxiom Selects P-Synch To Cut Help-Desk Call Volume And Improve Security
April 4, 2002
Hi-tech corporation plans to offer P-Synch to outsourcing clients.
M-Tech Mercury Information Technology, Inc. today announced that Acxiom Corporation has purchased an enterprise license for the P-Synch total password management system for its internal users, and will offer P-Synch functionality to its outsourcing customers.
Acxiom's IT Outsourcing Organization has been providing information technology outsourcing for 50 years and counts many Fortune 1000 companies among its national customers. Their full range of IT services include mainframe and client/server outsourcing, network management, web hosting and print.
Acxiom originally purchased P-Synch because of its ability to enforce enterprise-wide password strength and expiration policies. Their password management project then evolved to take advantage of P-Synch's ability to reduce help desk call volume as well as the length of time for problem resolution. Acxiom is using many of P-Synch's features including transparent password synchronization, web-based password synchronization, self-service password reset, and help-desk password reset.
The company will now offer P-Synch's functionality to their outsourcing clients so that they can gain the same benefits of problem elimination, self-service problem resolution and accelerated help desk problem resolution.
"Our approach in IT outsourcing services is Flexibility By DesignSM, offering the right balance between a disciplined focus on technology and tailoring our services to meet individual customer situations," said Brent Hobby, Acxiom business unit leader for enterprise hosting. "The open architecture of P-Synch, its range of included features, and wider platform support, fits in with this approach perfectly. P-Synch was clearly the right solution for password management for Acxiom. Its scalability and ease of integration with our current systems helps us provide a higher level of service to our customers."
"We are very pleased to have been selected by Acxiom," said Idan Shoham, M-Tech Chief Information Technology Officer. "P-Synch is consistently selected by leading technology companies, such as Acxiom, for both internal and external deployments." These companies clearly see the advantage of P-Synch over alternative products."
