More large companies selecting P-Synch and ID-Synch for multiple platforms
M-Tech has recently closed a large number of sales of its identity management suite, including P-Synch and ID-Synch, to mid- and large-size companies and government agencies.
Examples of the medium to large customers which have recently bought P-Synch include:
- MeadWestVaco, a global producer of packaging, coated and
specialty papers, consumer and office products and specialty chemicals.
MeadWestVaco formed as part of the merger between Mead and WestVaco. Mead had previously used P-Synch though one of M-Tech's service provider partners, and elected to implement it internally as part of the merger IT restructuring.
MeadWestvaco operates in 33 countries and employs about 30,000 people worldwide. - National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a non-regulatory
federal agency within the U.S. Commerce Department's Technology Administration.
With 2,800 employees, NIST develops and promotes measurements, standards, and
technology to enhance productivity, facilitate trade, and improve the quality
of life.
NIST chose P-Synch because of its ability to support it's strengthened password policy, which could not be enforced from Windows NT. The P-Synch solution will synchronize passwords across Linux, Sun Solaris, AIX, Windows NT and Windows 2000. It will also support Remedy at the help desk. - Japan's Nomura Group, one of the largest global investment banking and
securities firms with over 8,000 employees in worldwide operations.
Nomura purchased M-Tech's identity management suite because of P-Synch's unique ability to transparently synchronize passwords across Active Directory and LDAP 5.1 for Nomura Securities in New York, and Nomura Hong Kong.
