M-Tech Completes Another Common Criteria Certification Milestone

M-Tech has Obtained AES Algorithm Certification for its Identity Management Suite

Calgary, AB - April 20, 2005 - M-Tech Information Technology, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise identity management solutions, today announced that it has completed an important phase in the process of obtaining Common Criteria Certification (CCC) (http://www.cse-cst.gc.ca/).

CCC is a suite of standards for security protection that was jointly developed by the governments of 17 countries, including Canada, the United States, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Governments and defense agencies of these countries require CCC to ensure that IT products and systems meet their stringent security requirements. In most cases, these agencies consider CCC to be a pre-requisite to the purchase of IT solutions.

The certification obtained by M-Tech covers the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Algorithms (http://csrc.nist.gov/cryptval/aes/aesval.html). This extensive series of tests identifies and helps eliminate any implementation-related flaws resulting from deficiencies such as insufficient space allocation, pointer problems, improper error handling and incorrect AES Algorithms. Certification ensures that products are free of all such defects.

Obtaining CCC is a long and expensive process. Nevertheless, it ensures M-Tech's continuing access to the growing government and military markets world-wide. M-Tech is the only leading independent identity management solutions provider enrolled in a CCC program (http://www.cse-cst.gc.ca/)..

"Over the past two years, M-Tech has experienced a rapid increase in sales to government bodies and defense agencies," says Idan Shoham, M-Tech's CTO. "CCC assures M-Tech's customers of our commitment to security and compliance with the highest standards. It enables our customers, and government and military groups in particular, to expand the purchasing of identity management software from M-Tech."
