M-Tech Launches Hitachi-ID.com/access-certifier
New web site helps organizations learn about M-Tech's unique automation for cleaning up orphan accounts, dormant accounts and stale privileges.
Calgary, AB - August 15, 2006 -- M-Tech Information Technology, Inc., a leading provider of identity management solutions, today announced that it has launched the Hitachi-ID.com/access-certifier web site. The site offers a central place for organizations to learn about ID-Certify -- M-Tech's unique solution for identifying and removing orphan accounts, dormant accounts and stale privileges.
ID-Certify was designed to help organizations comply with security requirements that arise from legislations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Visitors to the new web site may learn about the problems arising from excess privileges and how these impact regulatory compliance programs. They may also learn about the solution strategy of periodic user privilege audits, and how ID-Certify can help to automate such audits. The site also includes animated demonstrations of the ID-Certify software.
Corporations and government organizations are faced with a demanding regulatory environment, which is likely to persist for years to come. Meeting regulatory requirements means that companies and government agencies need a compliance architecture that leverages automation and self-service to more reliably manage user rights.
"We are very excited about the launch of Hitachi-ID.com/access-certifier," says Gideon Shoham, M-Tech CEO. "This web site will provide our prospects, customers and partners with a wealth of information about effectively addressing the problem of privilege accumulation," he added.
