Calgary, Canada -- January 15, 2009 -- Hitachi ID Systems, Inc. announced today the company has entered into an agreement with BMC Software, Inc. to integrate and offer Hitachi ID Password Manager,as a standard component of BMC's Service Desk Express, part of BMC's Business Service Management platform.
“This alliance allows current and future BMC Service Desk customers to take advantage of Password Manager's ability to easily manage strong passwords and other authentication factors,” says Gideon Shoham, CEO of Hitachi ID Systems.
The integration between Password Manager and Service Desk Express will eliminate time consuming manual processes, streamline the password problem resolution, tighten security and provide management with effective call and problem statistics. The software will automatically generate help-desk tickets and update user incident call records through user self service events.
