New version simplifies deployment, eases configuration, adds application support and improves reliability.
Calgary, Canada -- April 7, 2009 -- Hitachi ID Systems, a leading provider of identity management (IdM) solutions, announced the release of version 6.0.1 of the innovative Hitachi ID Login Manager product.
Login Manager takes a unique approach to single sign-on technology. It reduces login time by automatically filling in application login IDs and passwords for users. Instead of depending on stored passwords and scripts to determine where and when to populate login IDs and passwords, Login Manager relies on password synchronization, provided by Hitachi ID Password Manager.
Login Manager automatically detects applications which use the same credentials as the Windows login. Once a synchronized login prompt has been detected, its location is stored and it is automatically populated whenever it appears again.
“This version is a direct result of a number of large production deployments of Login Manager,” says Idan Shoham, Hitachi ID' CTO. “It supports large scale deployment of this unique and cost effective single sign-on solution.”
