Guidance for deploying an IAM system hosted by a cloud service provider

Hitachi ID Systems' CTO, Idan Shoham, will host a webinar on deploying identity management as a service (IAMaaS). The webinar will be held on Wednesday, August 24 at 10:00AM PT / 1:00PM ET.

In this presentation, Shoham will discuss the motivation for, challenges in and strategies that organizations should consider when deploying an identity management system through a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider. Both business considerations, such as risk management and technical issues, such as managing systems behind a firewalled perimeter will be covered.

Growing interest in both cloud computing and identity management means that the intersection of these two trends is inevitable. Many medium sized organizations are exploring ways to move traditional software systems out of their data center to a hosted model and IAM infrastructure is no exception. Hitachi ID Systems has many years of experience in delivering IAM systems that support multi-tenant, hosted operation - lessons learned will be shared in Wednesday's webinar.

“Hitachi ID solutions have long supported multi-tenancy, proxied connections to integrated systems, replication, load balancing, themed user interfaces, localization and more. These technical capabilities fit nicely into the accelerating trend of moving applications, including IAM systems, to the cloud,” said Shoham. “In the webinar, we'll discuss just what it takes to move a heavily-integrated and mission-critical system such as IAM out of the corporate perimeter.”
