Password synchronization is designed to help users maintain a single, strong password across multiple login IDs.
Transparent password synchronization leverages an existing user interface.

  • Users change their passwords natively on:
    • Active Directory.
    • Unix servers.
    • LDAP directories.
    • OS400 / iSeries servers.
    • z/OS mainframes (RACF, CA-ACF2, CA-TopSecret).

  • Hitachi ID Password Manager enforces a global policy, blocking weak passwords.
  • Approved passwords are synchronized to other accounts belonging to the same user.
