P-Synch purchased by Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP

March 1, 1999
Calgary, Alberta, Canada

M-Tech is pleased to announce the sale of P-Synch to the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP.

Previously, employees at PHJW were attempting to manage several different network passwords on multiple systems, without success. The search for a solution to this problem led PHJW to M-Tech's password management tool, P-Synch. P-Synch provided a user self-reset feature - enabling users to authenticate themselves on the basis of personal stored information, and reset their own network passwords. After implementing P-Synch, the cost benefit for the help desk was seen immediately, as users were not only less likely to forget their passwords, but were now able to reset their own network passwords without requiring help desk assistance.

M-Tech, a Canadian network security products and services company, developed P-Synch in 1995. Today, P-Synch is providing password management capabilities for numerous Fortune 1000 businesses, universities and government organizations throughout the world.

PHJW is a large international law firm, with offices located throughout the world, including Britain, Japan, and the USA.
