Siemens Business Services Extends Its Success with M-Tech's Identity Management Suite
Siemens Medical Solutions deploys P-Synch and ID-Telephony
Calgary, AB - March 15, 2005 -M-Tech Information Technology, Inc., a leading provider of identity management solutions, and Siemens Business Services (SBS), one of the world's largest IT outsourcers, today announced the deployment of M-Tech's identity management solutions, including P-Synch and P-SynchIVR, at Siemens Medical Solutions, a leading healthcare, medical equipment and services provider.
This deployment of M-Tech's self-service identity management solutions will provide 13,000 Siemens users with secure access to its IT infrastructure while improving productivity and reducing IT operating costs, said Bob McSwigan, Manager of Enterprise Technology for SBS. "M-Tech solutions also allow SBS to enforce full compliance with government regulations associated with data and access policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA."
M-Tech's suite allows SBS users to sign into the P-Synch password management solution, using a SecurID token, manage their own SecurID tokens, and to reset forgotten passwords and token PINs using the P-SynchIVR IVR system. P-Synch's capabilities include password synchronization and reset, token management, biometric enrollment and PKI certificate administration.
P-SynchIVR provides Siemens users with unique and flexible call logic to manage multiple authentication factors, including passwords and two-factor RSA hardware tokens.

The SBS implementation has proven the M-Tech suite's rapid deployment capabilities and integration with a wide range of existing password systems. Siemens was able to quickly scale to 13,000 users, and achieve high user adoption rates using automated prompting and consolidated reporting built right into the identity management software.
SBS has already integrated M-Tech's Identity Management Suite into the IT environments of eleven other customers.
