P-Synch licensed to another I.T. services company
April 20, 2000Calgary, Alberta, Canada
M-Tech, the leader in total password management technology, today announced the sale of a license to use its P-Synch software to a leading I.T. research and market intelligence consulting firm, with offices worldwide and over 30,000 customers.
Due to a policy prohibiting public press releases, this firm has declined to be named.
M-Tech, located in Calgary, Canada, is a network security products and services company. P-Synch was developed to combat the security and support costs arising from password manaagement in heterogeneous networks.
Using P-Synch:
- The firm's users will be able to automatically synchronize and reset their own passwords across the enterprise.
- The help desk will also be able to authenticate callers and reset their passwords using an efficient browser-based facility.
- Users and support staff will be required to select passwords that comply with a uniform password strength policy.
Together, these features will reduce the frequency of password problems at the firm, and will allow users to resolve password problems themselves, on a 7 x 24 basis.
