Knowledge-Based Authentication

Knowledge-based authentication (KBA for short) is a form of authentication where a user is prompted to answer a series of security questions, where answers to the questions ought to be available or memorable to the user, but difficult to guess for others.

Hitachi ID Password Manager includes a mechanism to enroll security questions from users. It can implement KBA to authenticate users who may have forgotten or locked out their password.
