Service Account Password

On the Windows platform (and generally not on other operating systems), service accounts require a password. That is, to start a process in the security context of a given user, both the ID and the password of that user must be provided. This leads to the need to notify subscribers of new values of service account passwords, when those passwords are changed in the directory or security database where the service account is defined.
