Hitachi ID is pleased to offer a self directed training module for Hitachi ID Password Manager 8.0, Hitachi ID Identity Manager 6.2.2, or Hitachi ID Privileged Access Manager 7.3.1. This training package is designed for security specialists, help desk personnel, system administrators, project leaders/managers and anyone responsible for the implementation and administration of Hitachi ID Password Manager, Hitachi ID Identity Manager, or Hitachi ID Privileged Access Manager software. The package includes approximately 40 hours of Password Manager, Identity Manager, or Privileged Access Manager training lessons that are based on the instructor led training program. Once completed, the student should have gained valuable insight into:

Underlying product architecture
Implementation considerations
Security considerations
Long term administration and support
Problem isolation and resolution

Training Package Contents

The training package itself is a Flash drive that contains a VMware Virtual Machine (VM). The VM is specially configured to be completely self contained, in other words, the VM acts as host for the computer based training program, Hitachi ID Management Suite, various target types, and is capable of acting as a client workstation. Specifically, the VM contains:

A Moodle server (this is open source computer based training software)
Hitachi ID Identity Management server software
An Active Directory target (AD)
A Sun ONE Directory server target (LDAP)
A MS SQL Server 2005 target (SQL)
A UNIX target (UNIX)
A Remedy AR System 7.5 incident management software
A SMTP/POP3 server with Outlook Express as the mail client
Client workstation capability (to teach concepts such as the "Secure Kiosk Account" and the "GINA DLL")
A DNS server
